My journey as a barber started long before FERAT BARBER.
I first learned the craft from my father while I was still at school. What began with watching, learning and helping gradually became something I took seriously — understanding that a good haircut is not simply about cutting hair, but about understanding the person sitting in front of you.
During my military service in Türkiye, I continued barbering and gained experience working with many different people, hair types and styles. Later, I worked around Taksim and Etiler in Istanbul, where the pace was faster, expectations were higher, and attention to detail mattered.
Over the years, I developed my own way of working. I pay attention to face shape, head shape, hair texture, lifestyle and personal preference before deciding how to approach a haircut. I particularly enjoy fade work and scissor cutting, but I don’t believe one style or technique suits everyone.
Some clients sit down knowing exactly what they want. Others simply know they want to look better but aren’t sure what will suit them. In those moments, I give my recommendation and explain why. Before I start cutting, I already want to be able to see the finished result in my mind.
After settling in Malaysia, I wanted to bring that same approach into a more personal kind of barber experience.
Today, FERAT BARBER brings the service directly to clients across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor — at home, hotels, offices and private locations. I don’t rush appointments or work from a one-style-fits-all formula. I take the time to understand what you want and what will actually work for you.
